Caja de Ahorros de Vitoria y Álava (Caja Vital) was a regional savings bank founded in 1990. Caja Vital was focused on providing retail banking products and services to households, local businesses and SMEs. In 2014 Caja Vital was transformed into a foundation.
Caja de Ahorros de Vitoria y Álava participates in the deposit guarantee scheme of Spain. This deposit guarantee scheme applies to credit balances on accounts made by natural persons, legal entities and covers up to up to 100,000 EUR per bank per depositor.
