Kuntarahoitus (en: Municipality Finance or MuniFin) a reliable and innovative credit institution with a mission to ensure competitive funding for the local public sector in Finland, namely to Finnish municipalities, their majority-owned companies, and non-profit housing companies. Kuntarahoitus is 100-percent owned by the Finnish public sector; the municipalities, the government of Finland and Keva, a public sector pension fund.

Kuntarahoitus Oyj participates in the deposit guarantee scheme of Finland. This deposit guarantee scheme applies to deposit products offered by deposit banks made by natural persons (Finnish and foreign), legal entities (Finnish and foreign) and covers up to up to 100,000 EUR per bank per depositor. Kuntarahoitus Oyj is a member of Deposit Guarantee Fund and makes its contributions into it.
