PNB Banka (established on 29 April 1992 as Norvik Banka) is one of the oldest commercial banks in Latvia. Norvik Banka was a part of Norvik Group which also covers Vyatka Bank in Russia. PNB Banka provided a range of retail and corporate banking products and services to residents and non-residents of Latvia with the focus on the development of Latvian business, servicing of Latvian customers and paying particular attention to the financial needs of seniors. In December 2019, PNB Banka became insolvent.
In 2018 total assets of AS "PNB Banka" were 576,79 mln EUR. In 2018 the bank's net income was -5,10 mln EUR.
AS "PNB Banka" participates in the deposit guarantee scheme of Latvia. This deposit guarantee scheme applies to current accounts, deposit accounts made by natural persons (Latvian and foreign), legal entities (Latvian and foreign) and covers up to up to 100,000 EUR per bank per depositor. AS "PNB Banka" is a member of Deposit Guarantee Fund (DGF) and makes its contributions into it.
