Stichting Korporashon pa Desaroyo di Korsou (“Korpodeko”) was established in 1985 to promote a balanced autonomous and sustainable socio-economic, cultural and educational development of Curacao. Korpodeko provides financing for projects of small, medium sized and large businesses in a wide range of industries and activities.
Although there is no deposit guarantee scheme in Curacao, In February 2020, the Centrale Bank van Curaçao en Sint Maarten (CBCS)submitted a draft national ordinance to the countries of Curaçao and Sint Maarten for a deposit guarantee scheme. Nevertheless, in the event of Stichting Korporashon pa Desaroyo di Korsou (“Korpodeko”) failure its depositors will not receive any compensation or coverage.
