Incorporated in the Isle of Man in 1988, Britannia International was offering offshore savings accounts to residents of the Isle of Man, the United Kingdom as well as foreign nationals and British expats around the world. On 1 April 2015 Britannia International Limited ceased its banking operations in the Isle of Man.
Britannia International Limited participates in the deposit guarantee scheme of the Isle of Man. This deposit guarantee scheme applies to any credit balance on an account with a bank made by natural persons (Isle of Man and foreign), legal entities (Isle of Man and foreign) and covers up to up to 50,000 GBP per bank per depositor. Britannia International Limited is a member of Isle of Man Depositors’ Compensation Scheme and makes its contributions into it.
