ECCM Bank Plc was granted a banking licence on 1 July 2014. Raiffeisen Bank International AG sold its business on Malta (Raiffeisen Malta Bank) to the newly-formed ECCM Bank. The sale/purchase agreement was signed in December 2013. ECCM Bank offers banking services to international corporate clients, including short term and long term lending, deposit accounts, payment services, safekeeping and administration of securities.
ECCM Bank plc is the 9th largest bank in Malta in terms of total assets. In 2018 its total assets were 595,00 mln EUR, providing the bank with the market share of 2.09%. In 2018 the bank's profit before taxes was 16,62 mln EUR. ECCM Bank plc had 10 employees in 2015.
ECCM Bank plc participates in the deposit guarantee scheme of Malta. This deposit guarantee scheme applies to most types of deposits made by natural persons (Maltese and foreign), legal entities (Maltese and foreign) and covers up to up to 100,000 EUR per bank per depositor. ECCM Bank plc is a member of Depositor Compensation Scheme (DCS) and makes its contributions into it.
